Serie A giants Inter dealt Federico Dimarco injury blow ahead of Champions League clash against Manchester City.

According to an update by Matteo Barzaghi of Sky Italia (via Andrea Paventi), Inter manager Simone Inzaghi has a problem to deal with before his team travels to the Etihad Stadium. Star man Federico Dimarco has a strain on his right thigh flexor muscles and is expected to miss the trip.

The Nerazzurri are assessing the situation and the development of the knock surrounding the 26-year-old. Head coach Inzaghi will take the final call regarding his availability during tomorrow’s training session and before the team boards the plane.

Inter are set to face Manchester City to play a rematch of the 2023 Champions League final but this time it is for either team’s tournament opener in the new format. The Scudetto holders will want to have Dimarco amongst their pack as he came up with a colossal show when these two sides met last time.
