Ella Morris started and Lenna Gunning-Williams came off the bench in the England Under-23’s goalless draw to Norway on Thursday evening.
Earning her first cap for the Young Lionesses since moving to the Club in the summer, Ella completed the full 90 match at the Fredrikstad Stadium in Krakeroy, Norway, as Emma Coates’ side had to settle for a point in the Under-23 European Competition clash.
The 22-year-old defender, who made her first start in the Barclays Women’s Super League last month, had the first opportunity of the second half as her effort from the edge of the box went over the bar.
Lenna was introduced in the closing stages of the game as she replaced Mia Enderby, earning her second cap for the Under-23s after receiving her maiden call-up to the squad last month.
Coates’ side are back in action on Monday (2 December) as they face Sweden at Doncaster Rovers’ Eco-Power Stadium.
