First appearances for the Nerazzurri players on the pitch with their respective national teams, in the last 2024 window for international matches. There were 6 Inter players who logged playing minutes: Taremi with Iran, Thuram with France, Bastoni, Dimarco, Barella and Frattesi with Italy.
Here are the details of the matches and the report of the Nerazzurri's performances.
Four Inter players start on the pitch and Italy continue to rise in the UEFA Nations League. In Belgium, in Brussels, the Azzurri won 1-0, with the goal scored by Sandro Tonali at the start of the match. Luciano Spalletti's Italy side fielded four Nerazzurri from the first minute: 90 minutes for Alessandro Bastoni and Davide Frattesi, 79 minutes for Nicolò Barella, 68 minutes for Federico Dimarco.
The success qualifies Italy for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Nations League: France's simultaneous draw with Israel means that the Azzurri are at the top of the table with 13 points, ahead of France, who have 10. A draw will be enough for Italy on Sunday (at San Siro against France), to end the round in first place.
France did not find the net, on the pitch at the Stade de France: 0-0 with Israel and Italy that takes the lead in this round. Nerazzurri Pavard and Thuram started the match on the bench. Marcus Thuram came on for Zaire-Emery in the 78th minute in a final attempt to score.
The match between North Korea and Iran, played at the New Laos National Stadium in Vientane, Laos, was full of emotions. In the World Cup qualifying match, Mehdi Taremi's Iran won 3-2, thus continues to lead Group A with 13 points after five matches.
The Inter Milan centre forward, captain of the national team, played 81 minutes before being substituted. He had a hand in all three of Iran's goals, with no less than three assists. In the second half, however, Taremi was unlucky, with an own goal and a missed penalty kick. Nevertheless, it was a quality performance for the striker.
Marko Arnautovic did not collect any playing time and remained on the bench in Austria's 2-0 away win over Kazakhstan in their UEFA Nations League match. Austria lead Group 3 of League B.
