Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka and B-team defender Benjamin Fredrick both started as Nigeria won the Unity Cup on Saturday.

The Bees duo played the duration of the Afro-Caribbean tournament final at Gtech Community Stadium, with the latter making his senior international debut.

Éric Chelle's Super Eagles defeated Jamaica in a 5-4 in a penalty shoot-out following a thoroughly entertaining 2-2 draw in 90 minutes.

Moses Simon gave Nigeria an early lead but the Reggae Boyz equalised three minutes later through Kaheim Dixon.

Samuel Chukwueze regained the advantage in the second half, only for his side to be pegged back again by Jon Russell.

In the shoot-out, Dwayne Atkinson fired Jamaica's fourth spot-kick over as Nigeria lifted the Unity Cup.

On the previous Wednesday evening, Onyeka started Nigeria's 2-1 win over Ghana - who defeated Trinidad & Tobago 4-0 in Saturday's other game to secure third place in the tournament.

Both he and Fredrick could represent their country again on Friday when they face Russia in an international friendly in Moscow.
