Reigning Supercoppa Italiana holders Inter have suffered a significant fitness blow ahead of Monday’s grand final against Milan. According to Calciomercato, standout forward Marcus Thuram could sit out the title showpiece after picking up a muscle injury against Atalanta on Thursday evening.

Thuram has soaked up the limelight as Simone Inzaghi’s headline performer this season. With Lautaro Martinez unable to find a way out of a notorious goalscoring crisis, Inter have turned to the 27-year-old Frenchman to deliver the goods in front of goal.
