Inter Milan will not push striker Marko Arnautovic out during the upcoming summer transfer window.

FCInterNews report that the 35-year-old could certainly stay at the Nerazzurri. However, he will also consider offers coming from teams where he would receive regular playing time.

At the moment, Arnautovic is under contract with Inter until the end of next June.

The Austrian signed a two-year deal with the Nerazzurri when he joined from Bologna last summer.

Therefore, it is not as though Arnautovic will be departing at the end of his deal this summer. He will still be under contract with Inter.

However, there have been some recent rumours that Arnautovic could leave one season before the end of his contract.,

According to FCIN, Inter will not go out of their way to offload Arnautovic this summer.

That is not to say that the Nerazzurri will not listen to offers for the former West Ham United and Stoke City striker.

However, there would still have to be a reasonable fee involved.

Inter paid a fee of close to €10 million to sign Arnautovic from Bologna last summer. Therefore, half of that amount is still amortized into the accounts for the upcoming season.

Inter would have no intention of taking a capital loss in order to sell Arnautovic.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri would only accept a bid that is at least equal to what the 35-year-old will be amortized for in next season’s accounts.

As far as what Inter have indicated to Arnautovic, there has been no explicit message that he will not be in the plans next season.

However, FCIN note, the fact that Inter are signing Mehdi Taremi does send a clear enough message.

The Iranian international is a player with a much more similar profile to Arnautovic than to Alexis Sanchez.

Therefore, there could be questions about Arnautovic’s playing time next season.

As such, Arnautovic would likely listen to offers this summer. If he has the chance to move to a high-level team that would offer him more playing time, the Austrian may well consider it.
