Inter Milan will sign another midfielder if Kristjan Asllani leaves this summer, as they don’t see Petar Sucic as a direct replacement.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908.
It is looking increasingly likely that midfielder Kristjan Asllani will leave Inter Milan at the end of this season.
The Albanian international has simply not convinced the Nerazzurri that he can have a role in holding midfield.
Therefore, the Gazzetta report, Inter will look to offload Asllani this summer.
There would be a possibility that Inter could loan Asllani out rather than selling him outright. Regular playing time at a different club could see improvements from the former Empoli midfielder.
However, one thing that’s clear is that Inter want a different player as a backup to Hakan Calhanoglu next season.

At the same time, Inter have already completed a deal to sign midfelder Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb.
The Croatian international will join the Nerazzurri’s squad at the end of the season. Starting with the Club World Cup this summer.
However, reports the Gazzetta, that does not mean that Sucic will be the player who directly replaces Asllani.
Rather, Inter see Sucic as more of a versatile squad player in midfield.
Therefore, if Asllani is to be on his way out, then inter will sign another holding midfielder.
