For the first time next season, Inter Milan will have an Under-23 team. The team will compete in Serie C, and have officially registered for the Italian third tier.

As with the Juventus Next Gen and AC Milan Futuro teams, the purpose of this team is to offer younger players a pathway into first team football.

And in line with that aim, Tuttosport report, Inter will look to synchronize the Under-23 team with the first team.

Key to coordinating between the first team and Under-23 team, Inter will implement the same formation.

That will mean a back-three system. It is the formation that both Antonio Conte and Simone Inzaghi have used for the last six years as Inter coach.

And similarly, coach Stefano Vecchi will play with a back three system as Inter Under-23 coach.

That way, players from the Under-23 team will be prepared for the particular demands of playing for Inter’s senior team.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport anticipate a couple notable signings for the Inter Under-23 team.

The Nerazzurri have already brought in defender Giuseppe Prestia to bolster the Under-23 team at the back.

Then, Inter are reportedly on the verge of a deal for 21-year-old Sassuolo fullnback Simone Cinquegrano.

Furthermore, reports Tuttosport, Inter are also pushing to bring in Cremonese striker David Stuckler.
