Joaquin Correa and Lautaro Martinez have received criticism for lightweight performances in yesterday’s Serie A clash between Bologna and Inter Milan.

TuttoMercatoWeb argue that both of the starting strikers failed to really give Inter an attacking outlet or win their duels with the Bologna defenders.

Joaquin Correa and Lautaro Martinez started in attack for Inter Milan against Bologna yesterday.

Correa started with Marcus Thuram unavailable and Marko Arnautovic and Mehdi Taremi not in ideal condition.

Meanwhile, Martinez got yet another start. The Inter captain had little option but to play, despite the intense fixture list.

In the view of TMW, Correa had a decent first half. The former Lazio forward produced some useful dribbles, passes, and flicks.

However, in the second half Correa offered very little.

The Argentine failed to get the better of the Bologna defenders. Nor did he give much of a physical challenge to Jhon Lucumi or Sam Beukema.

Meanwhile, Correa skied a shot in almost comical fashion.

Then, Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez did put in a shift. However, it was quite clear that he had little gas left in the tank.

Like Correa, Martinez had a few good turns and passes.

But overall, there was nothing from the Nerazzurri captain around the Bologna penalty area.
