Oaktree Capital have promised Inter Milan’s squad a bonus for reaching the round of sixteen of the Champions League.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908. They note that the Nerazzurri’s revenues in the competition have already reached €65.2 million for the season.
Inter have seemingly put one foot in the Champions League round of sixteen.
The Nerazzurri have gotten four wins from five matches so far in the competition this season.
That is a very positive trend on the pitch. And off of it, it is also significant on a financial level.
The Gazzetta note that Inter’s total earnings have reached €65.2 million between the payments from UEFA including results bonuses, plus gate receipt earnings from the San Siro.
And the Gazzetta anticipate that Inter’s earnings could go up another €20 million.
There would be €11 million for qualifying for the round of sixteen.
And then another €7.8-9.9 million for the Nerazzurri’s final position in the table.
Therefore, Inter are reaping the benefits financially for their participation in the Champions League.
And Nerazzurri owners Oaktree Capital are ready to reward the squad.
The Gazzetta report that the Inter owners have promised a bonus worth €3 million to be spread among the squad if the team directly qualify for the round of sixteen.
