Inter Milan star Federico Dimarco is seemingly edging towards a timely recovery as the team prepares to lock horns with crosstown rivals AC Milan.

The 26-year-old picked up a knock in the aftermath of last Sunday’s clash against Monza. The left wingback played for the duration of the match that ended in a 1-1 draw.

However, it was later revealed that the Italy international sustained a slight physical problem. This apparently ensued while chasing back an opponent in a 50-meter sprint.

Therefore, Dimarco had to skip the midweek trip to England.

He remained at home while Simone Inzaghi’s main host traveled to Manchester for a top Champions League showdown against Man City.

The Italian champions earned a valuable draw on the back of a gusty performance. Inzaghi had no other choice but to rely on Carlos Augusto on the left flank.
