MIAMI – The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 continues as hosts Inter Miami CF face FC Porto in Group A on Thursday at Mercedes-Benz in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
The meeting will mark the first official match between an MLS team and a side from a mainland European league.
Inter Mami CF will continue its historic debut at a Club World Cup after playing out a nil-nil draw against Egyptian side Al Ahly FC in the tournament opener. Goalkeeper Óscar Ustari starred on the night with eight saves to help his team secure a point.
The Herons will look to legends of the game in Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez in search of a positive result, who have contributed with 15 and eight goals respectively across all competitions in 2025.
Similarly, Porto FC earned a point in a goalless draw against Palmeiras in its opening Group A fixture.
Porto qualified to its first Club World Cup thanks to strong performances over the four-year qualification period, securing its place as one of the European representatives through the UEFA ranking pathway.
Porto’s squad features several standout players, among them Portugal national team goalkeeper Diogo Costa, promising rising star Rodrigo Mora and recent signing Gabri Veiga.
