Federico Dimarco limped off with a flexor issue, leaving Inter with a potentially serious injury crisis going into big Serie A and Champions League games.
The wing-back curled a sensational free kick into the top corner during this evening’s 1-1 draw away to Napoli.
He was then forced off early into the second half with a muscular problem, confirming to media afterwards that he felt a flexor twinge.
It remains to be seen how long he will be out for, but there is very little time to rest and recuperate.
Inter are already back on the field on Wednesday in the Champions League play-off with Feyenoord, then face Monza in Serie A before the second leg on March 11.
There is also a crucial Scudetto showdown with Atalanta on March 16.

The biggest problem is that Inter’s injuries are largely localised in the same area of the team, so Simone Inzaghi has very few options.
Carlos Augusto is out of the first leg with Feyenoord and in doubt to face his old club Monza with a calf problem.
Nicola Zalewski is out for even longer and could even miss Atalanta with a soleus strain in his right leg.
Matteo Darmian has a right thigh strain and might not even be ready for the game with Udinese on March 30.
Goalkeeper Yann Sommer is also out until mid-March following surgery on a fracture in his right thumb.
Hakan Calhanoglu limped off during the Napoli match today, but that was a bruise and should be shaken off fairly quickly.
