“I really like the Spanish league” – Enzo Fernandez speaks out amidst Real Madrid interest | OneFootball

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has spoken out in public amidst rumours of Real Madrid being keen on signing him.

This news comes after Chelsea got a vital three points on Friday night against Manchester United in what was a crucial win for the race for Champions League football next season.

One Chelsea legend Gary Cahill was at the match and he has hailed one key player in the game as being one of the best in Europe after his influence on the match.

Cahill wasn’t the only one praising this player as well, with team mate Pedro Neto joining in and picking up on the character of the Chelsea hero from Friday night.

Chelsea will now move on to their final league game of the season next weekend away at Nottingham Forest, and it’s another game they have to win the secure Champions League qualification.

Real Madrid interest

The Spanish giants want to sign Fernandez this summer and it appeared to genuinely have something to this story, I guess it still might.

But it also looks like Chelsea sources have been keen to shoot it down as well with them being determined to see off the interest he is getting from Madrid.

Although he does not directly mention any rumours or his future, he speaks fondly of Chelsea and Enzo Maresca.

As reported by La Perla Londres, Fernandez said:

“When I arrived at Chelsea, everything fell into place. A lot of things changed within the club, and you can see the growth. That’s a very good thing.

“Since I arrived the whole squad changed, we had finished 5/6 and I was one of the oldest with Reece James.

“I’m grateful to Maresca, who trusted me from day one, giving me the captain’s armband. It’s a huge honour for a big club like Chelsea.

“The Premier League is more transitional, and La Liga is more tactical and intelligent. I really like the Spanish league.

“Argentine football isn’t easy at all. It’s very competitive, they’re unforgiving, and everyone who goes there will have a hard time. It’s the most exciting football in the world.”
