Chelsea legend John Terry doesn’t believe the Blues are ready to win the Premier League title next season, with Manchester City and Liverpool “too strong” at the moment.
The Blues had a strong season as they secured Champions League qualification and won the Conference League, whilst they have also made the Club World Cup final.
Chelsea are preparing to take on Paris Saint Germain in New York on Sunday, in what will be a huge test for Enzo Maresca and the young squad.
Chelsea have missed these games against the biggest teams and it will be a really good test to see how far this team has progressed.
The Blues are clearly improving under Enzo Maresca, and have grown as the tournament has progressed, and if they could win on Sunday it would be huge on so many levels.
Chelsea have been heavily criticised for their transfer policy and long contracts, but it looks like they could be starting to reap the rewards of it.

Whilst trophies are great, supporters would love the league title, and the Blues haven’t challenged since they last won it under Antonio Conte in 2017.
Chelsea are heading in the right direction, and Terry, who previously claimed the Blues were two years away from the title has shared his thoughts on if he feels the current side are ready.
“We’ve got a really good young squad,” he told talkSPORT.
“I know the famous saying: you can’t win anything with young players; you need a bit of experience. I do think we just need a little bit of experience, whether that’s in goal or whether that’s an old centre-back just to guide the players a little bit on the pitch as well.

“In terms of talent and what the owners are doing, I love the idea of it. I’m not sure it goes and wins you a Premier League.
“I personally feel Manchester City and Liverpool are probably too strong at the moment, but we could come off the back of this (Club World Cup) and start the season really well.”
Whilst Terry is right about experience, the Blues are improving the squad and making some exciting signings which should help them next season.
Liam Delap and Joao Pedro look to be good signings on early evidence, whilst Estevao Willian and Jamie Gittens are exciting talents.
The Blues definitely need a new goalkeeper and back-up for Marc Cucurella, but the squad isn’t a million miles away from competing.
