Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has dropped some late Monday night Chelsea transfer updates, and there’s some interesting info.
Chelsea are scrambling around now in this final week of the summer transfer window to get deals done and especially sort some outgoings out.
They want to sell a host of players still before they can move on a couple of incoming transfer targets themselves.
The two they want in is Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, with The Blues now confident they can sign him still according to one insider yesterday, and Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United, who they are apparently in advanced talks to sign as of yesterday afternoon.
But Chelsea have to sell first, and one of those players they need to sell is striker Nicolas Jackson – and there is plenty going on around him right now with loads of interested clubs.

Fabrizio Romano dropped the latest on Jackson’s future on his YouTube channel late last night.
He said:
“I can tell you, Nicolas Jackson, [Aston] Villa keeps calling. Newcastle keeps calling again and again. Bayern made contact on Monday with Chelsea to see what formula might work! Maybe a loan with obligation. Chelsea wants that or permanent. Let’s see!”
I have no idea where he goes now at this point. I did think Aston Villa for a long time due to his relationship with Unai Emery. But Newcastle need a striker, Bayern seem to have stepped up their interest a lot yesterday. So who knows now at this point, it is anyone’s guess! Or does he even go anywhere at all?
