Kyle Joseph is now the subject of a fresh bid from the Tigers, who have been busy during this window so far.
According to Pete O'Rourke, this bid is in the region of £2m, with the Tigers seemingly determined to get a deal over the line for the talented forward.
The East Yorkshire side have already been busy during the January transfer window so far, with Matt Crooks moving back to England to sign a deal at the MKM Stadium, Joe Gelhardt making the loan move from Leeds United and Nordin Amrabat now closing in on a move to Ruben Selles' side.
Plenty more business could be done before the end of the window, if the volume of recent rumours are anything to go by, with Selles being backed in the transfer market.
Following a very disappointing first half of the 2024/25 campaign, these changes could be needed to guide Hull in the right direction, and they may be able to use the funds generated from the summer sales of Jaden Philogene and Jacob Greaves to spend a decent amount on their squad.
Hull have made a £2m bid for Joseph, having had previous offers rejected, according to O'Rourke.
Their interest in the Seasiders' forward, which was exclusively reported by Football League World, looks to be strong and they seem to be determined to get an agreement over the line for the forward.
Joseph, 23, has been a key player for Steve Bruce's side this season, and has scored some important goals this term, with his contributions helping the club to secure extra points.
He could now make the step up to the second tier, but it's unclear if the League One side are prepared to accept a bid in the region of £2m for one of their key men.
The striker's contract doesn't expire until 2026.
Joseph has been a thorn in the side of many opponents this term.
In fact, his non-goalscoring contributions are just as important as the goals he scores.
Scoring at a fairly decent rate this season, he has also used his stature to cause real problems for defenders.
His performance against Reading back in December reinforces just how valuable he can be in many ways - and it's no surprise that he's attracting interest from elsewhere.
At 23 though, he will surely be keen to secure guarantees regarding game time before he makes a move away from Bloomfield Road.
