It is fair to say that it has been a great start to the summer for the Reds and no doubt, fans will be happy with the business the club has already done – in addition to other deals that might follow.
Already, Liverpool have brought in Jeremie Frimpong to replace to Trent Alexander-Arnold who looks like a very capable signing as well as spending big on Florian Wirtz (both arriving from 2023/24 Bundesliga champions, Bayer Leverkusen) and it seems that others may arrive.
Left-back Milos Kerkez could make the switch to Mersyside from Bournemouth, while there are rumours that the club is also willing to smash the British transfer record for the second time this summer (Wirtz being first) to land Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.
We may also see a few other arrivals at Anfield, though as well as settling into their new club, they may also wonder what there is to do in Liverpool and how they might enjoy their free time.
It is reported that Frimpong is a fan of gaming – especially FiFa, while, if he wants to diversify he could explore the online casino aspect, including casinos without sister sites or even enjoy some of the many gaming cafe’s that the city has.
A popular pastime among footballers, new arrivals on Merseyside will be spoiled with the number of golf courses in and around the city.
Indeed, one of the most popular and even exclusive is Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa which attracts a number of footballers in the area.
Also boasting a spa and gym, it also means that players get the best of both worlds. Fitness is important to footballers and they do like to make sure that they are keeping fit. A gym session post golf round and a spa in nice surroundings could well be a great way for new arrivals to spend their free time.

Crowned the ‘European City of Culture’ in 2008 – this is a title that the city is still proud of and rightly so. There is plenty to enjoy in Liverpool and certainly new arrivals can make the most of it. Indeed, former manager and fan-favourite, Jurgen Klopp was often seen exploring in his downtime and there is plenty for Wirtz et al to enjoy.
The docklands definitely would be worth a visit for them, in addition to the Beatles museum and the Walker Art Gallery.
Understandably, Liverpool has a great music scene with plenty of opportunities to enjoy live gigs, though the city is also home to the Philharmonic Hall where new players may be tempted by some classical productions from big names.
These are also a great social occasion and make for good team-building exercises so there is no reason why it couldn’t become a ‘team’ bonding session every few weeks!
