Steve Clarke’s side are attempting to avoid relegation from the top tier

Scotland are out to avoid relegation in the Nations League when they host Croatia tonight.
Though they earned a credible goalless draw at home to Portugal last time out, as it stands going into the penultimate round of fixtures in Group A1, Steve Clarke's side sit bottom and three points from safety.
Therefore, Scotland's task against Croatia is simple. A defeat coupled with Poland avoiding a loss at the hands of Portugal will result in relegation.
A draw at Hampden Park also won't be enough if Michal Probierz's side pick up all three points in Porto on Friday.
Recent history doesn't favour Scotland either as they lost the reverse meeting between the two nations last month plus the Group D clash at Euro 2020 (played in 2021). In fact, it's just over 11 years since they last beat Croatia.
TV channel and live stream: The game will be broadcast live and for free on Viaplay International’s YouTube channel. Kick-off is at 7:45pm GMT.
