Milan’s upcoming game against Feyenoord is vital for qualification to the Champions League round of 16, but is also a massively profitable occasion in terms of finances for the Rossoneri. Here is how much they could earn from their re-match on Tuesday.

Milan trail by 1-0 midway through their tie against Feyenoord, having fallen to a disappointing defeat at De Kuip last week. They will have 90 minutes and extra time if required to turn things around in the second leg.

How much Milan could earn from beating Feyenoord

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have already secured a sum of around €61m from their participation in the Champions League this season.

That €61m figure comes from appearance fees for the eight league phase matches, as well as from TV deals, ticketing and UEFA’s 10-year ranking system.

The Feyenoord re-match comes with an opportunity to add another €11m that UEFA guarantees for teams who reach the Round of 16 stage. That figure is just the prize money, not including ticketing and other extra sources of income.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club’s main priorities for the remainder of the 2024-25 season are to remain in the Champions League for as long as possible, and to finish the Serie A season in the top four to ensure another season in UEFA’s flagship competition.

As things stand, Milan could theoretically be matched up with city rivals Inter if they overcome Feyenoord on Tuesday night, which would bring a re-match of the 2022-23 semi-final, which the Nerazzurri won over two legs.
