Brentford beat Richmond & Kew 6-0 in a brilliant performance at Bedfont Sports Club on Sunday afternoon.

Brentford put on a solid display from start to finish with an Ashley Cheatley double and an incredible volley from Webb giving the hosts a 3-0 lead at the break. Three more goals in the second half saw Paula Holguin hit a double with Maddie Phillips wrapping up the win with a solo goal.

It took Brentford just eight minutes to get themselves in front with another early goal at home from Cheatley.

An excellent pass from Maddie Phillips curled into the path of Cheatley who lost her marker inside the box before taking the ball around the opposition’s keeper with a great first touch and sliding her shothome.

The new striker continued her unbelievable goal scoring start to the season with another goal on 16 minutes.

This time she latched onto a loose ball before finding the bottom left corner with a perfect finish from 10 yards out.

It was only a matter of time before Logie got in on the action with the forward coming inches away from giving the Bees a three-goal lead.

The striker’s powerful shot from outside the box crashed against the bar before being cleared away.

Richmond & Kew were under constant pressure as Brentford stretched the pitch well with wing-backs Webb and Phillips staying high and wide.

The away side struggled to pose any real threat when they did get into the final third with the Brentford back three of Regan Graver, Lucy Potter and Caroline Engelhard a solid block.

The Bees found time to grab their third goal of the game just before the break and it came via an excellent volley from Webb.

The left-back struck the ball perfectly with her shot flying into the top right corner securing her first goal of the campaign.

Brentford looked to continue their dominance in the second half as the side remained in control of possession throughout.

Paula Holguin, who was brought off the bench for the Bees, nearly made an instant impact following a great move.

After receiving the ball, the striker flicked it into the path of Cottrell who played through Holguin but her shot went just wide.

The visitors did have one good sight of goal when Charlotte Willis Sloanes got in behind the Brentford defence but her shot never worried Evie Witek.

Holguin gave the Bees their fourth of the match just before the 80-minute mark with a proper striker’s goal.

After the ball was flicked on from the front post following a corner Holguin was there to bundle the ball into the back of the net.

Holguin struck again just seven minutes later again from a corner this time a powerful header as she collected her third goal of the campaign.

Phillips ended a perfect day at the office for Brentford scoring on 88 minutes with a fabulous solo run and goal.

The right-back carried the ball down the flank before cutting inside and finding the far corner with a great finish.
