Everton will take on Liverpool in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The Toffees returned to winning ways after beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 in the previous game, and they will head into the Merseyside derby with a bit of confidence.
Manager Sean Dyche has praised Armando Broja, who made his first appearance for the Toffees against Wolves.
Broja joined Everton on loan from Chelsea during the summer transfer window, but he was out for a lengthy spell with a foot injury.
“I like what I saw,” said Dyche in the pre-match presser. “I like what I’ve seen in training – his attitude towards it and his attitude to get fit. He’s worked very hard to get fit.”
Liverpool are leading the Premier League table at the moment, seven points above Chelsea and Arsenal, and they have lost only once to date.
It will be a tough challenge for the Toffees, but the players will be looking to make the occasion memorable, as it is going to be the last-ever league Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
Dyche has confirmed that apart from Michael Keane, who has picked up a minor knee ligament injury, there is no fresh injury concern.
Youssef Chermiti (foot), Tim Iroegbunam (foot), and James Garner (back) are still not fully fit and won’t be back for the Toffees this weekend.
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 17 games in all competitions, but Dyche will take note of how Newcastle United approached the game against the Reds on Wednesday night to draw 3-3.
Broja is unlikely to start in such a voltage fixture where the battle could get more physical due to the nature of the derby. However, he can be used from the bench.
