Happy Birthday, Ivano Bordon! | OneFootball

Ivano Bordon is 74 today. He spent thirteen seasons between the stick in the Inter jersey, which was worn like a second skin. He defended the Inter goal with grit, elegance and reliability from 1970 to 1983, becoming one of the most adored goalkeepers. The 1979/80 season was an unforgettable one, during which he equalled the record for time spent keeping a clean sheet for Inter: 686 minutes, from matchday four to eleven. A brick wall and true example to learn from. In that same season, he won his second Scudetto, following the first in his debut season of 1970/71. He went on to add two Coppa Italia's (in the 1977/78 and 1981/82 seasons. Having made 382 official appearances, Bordon was one of the pillars of Inter during the 70's and 80's. His legacy has never been forgotten. In 2022, he was named as part of the Inter Hall of Fame, a recognition conferred to players who have made Inter history.
