Girona eyeing summer deal for Juventus star | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Girona are keen to bring a member of the club’s loan contingent this past season back to the club this summer.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing sources in Italy, who point towards Arthur Melo as the player in question.

Midfielder Arthur for his part spent the 2nd half of the 2024/25 campaign plying his trade on loan at the Estadi Montilivi.

And the Brazilian, all told, went on to make a positive impression.

Looking a player rejuvenated in Míchel’s system, Arthur went on to rack up 15 La Liga appearances, 10 of which came from the off.

And his efforts across these outings evidently proved enough to impress those in the boardroom in Girona.

This comes amid confirmation that the Blanquivermells have reopened talks with Juventus, over bringing Arthur back for next season.

Whilst the latter are seeking a permanent sale, a fresh loan can’t be ruled out, with common ground ultimately expected to be found between the parties.
