Gerard Pique has continued his response to Shakira’s new song by turning up to his Kings League tournament in a Twingo car, mocking her lyrics that are alleged to be dissing him.

The couple have had a pretty messy public separation in recent months after it was rumoured the former Barcelona defender was cheating on the iconic singer, despite them having a family together.

So in response to the split, Shakira turned her frustrations into lyrics, slamming the defender and making it out like he had given up the best thing he could get for something that wasn’t even comparable.

The full song is about their breakup when deciphered, but the lyrics above are the main ones picked out in relation to Pique, who has since responded by wearing a Casio watch and holding it up to the camera, showing he isn’t bothered about the insults used.

It’s a pretty surreal start to 2023. The pair had been together for 11 years and seemed to be more than happy, having two children, but now they’re all over the tabloids for all the wrong reasons.

The lyrics to her song are pretty on the nose with her insults towards her former partner, but that hasn’t stopped them going viral, obviously helped by the comedic responses from Pique as the pair go back and forth with each other in the public eye.
