Galatasaray have reportedly increased their offer of personal terms to Roma winger Nicola Zalewski, who had rejected the Turkish side’s initial proposal earlier in the day.

Galatasaray sent delegates over to Rome to hold talks with both Roma and Zalewski’s representatives on Thursday. The transfer window in Turkey will close on Friday night, September 13.

Around midday, Galatasaray and Roma had reached an agreement over a transfer fee, but Zalewski’s desire has been to stay on with his boyhood club. The 22-year-old has been on the Giallorossi books since 2011.

Zalewski rejected an offer on personal terms earlier today, even though that would have come with a significant increase in wages.

Galatasaray prepared to continue Zalewski pursuit

Galatasaray have not been put off just yet, though, as they are prepared to increase their offer in an attempt to lure Zalewski away from the Stadio Olimpico according to updates from Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Giallorossi academy graduate did not train with the rest of the first team group on Thursday while he pondered over the next steps for his career.

If they are not able to strike a deal with Zalewski, Gala will instead turn to either Fode Ballo-Toure of Milan or Mario Rui from Napoli, both of whom are out of their respective club’s Serie A squad lists.
