A member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is the subject of mounting interest on the part of Turkish outfit Galatasaray.
That’s according to Diario Sport, citing sources in Turkey, who point towards Marc-André ter Stegen as the player in question.
Goalkeeper Ter Stegen is of course widely expected to be on the move over the months ahead.
This comes with the impending arrival of Joan García in Catalunya’s capital set to push the German down to third-choice in Hansi Flick’s squad.
Ter Stegen himself has thus far refused to open to the prospect of a transfer, but the 33-year-old, when all is said and done, is expected to give the green light.
As much comes with regular game time of paramount importance ahead of next year’s World Cup.
And as alluded to above, one club who have already gone as far as to make contact with Barcelona over a potential deal are Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray.
As per a report from Sport:
‘From Turkey they already report that Galatasaray have already made some embryonic approaches with FC Barcelona to find out what the conditions of Ter Stegen’s departure would be.’
It is added that Ter Stegen is not Gala’s first-choice, but his situation is being closely monitored with a view to the weeks ahead.
