The round of 32 beckons for Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs in France’s oldest cup competition, which will take place Saturday 21st and Sunday 22 December as the final match before French football’s winter break. This is the stage that usually throws up plenty of surprises as amateur and semi-professional sides test their mettle against French football’s elite.

Last year’s Coupe de France winners will face a tough test in RC Lens, whilst finalists Olympique Lyonnais will have to travel to National 2 (fourth tier) side Feignies Aulnoye. Group A was drawn first and provided an intriguing affair between AS Monaco and one of the lowest ranked sides in the competition, US Saint-Jean of the 6th tier. The evening’s first all-Ligue 1 tie was then drawn between AS Saint-Étienne and Olympique de Marseille.

Lille face a difficult trip to one of last season’s feel-good stories in FC Rouen, whilst Girondins des Bordeaux and Andy Carroll will get to test their mettle against Jorge Sampaoli’s Stade Rennais. Find the full draw below.
