Fulham have been linked with a move to sign out-of-favour Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund.
Hojlund has been informed that he’s unlikely to receive regular first-team football this season following the arrival of Benjamin Sesko at Old Trafford. The Denmark international was left out of the squad for the club’s Premier League opener against Arsenal on Sunday.
Ruben Amorim has informed Hojlund that he should explore his options, despite an initial desire to fight for his place.
AC Milan are interested in a potential loan deal for Hojlund with an option to make the move permanent. Napoli have also been credited as suitors for the ex-Atalanta forward, following Romelu Lukaku’s recent injury.
However, Fulham are reportedly prepared to offer Hojlund a Premier League lifeline. The Cottagers have received interest in Rodrigo Muniz from various clubs and could launch a move for Hojlund if the Brazilian departs.
The Independent are reporting that Fulham have explored the conditions of a potential deal for the 22-year-old.
It is understood that Manchester United want a fee of £40m for the Dane, but are prepared to accept a loan deal with a substantial fee, if the player’s salary is covered.
Hojlund joined Manchester United for a fee of £72m in 2023 and has since scored 26 goals in 95 appearances across all competitions.
