Fowler up for PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award | OneFootball

City star Mary Fowler has been nominated for December’s PFA Fan’s Player of the Month award.

The Australian striker was in fine form for Gareth Taylor’s side across the month.

She was on target in City’s emphatic 4-0 Barclays Women’s Super League win against Leicester, with her strike helping us chalk up what was a ninth straight win at the Joie Stadium.

Fowler also converted a late penalty away at Everton in our final league match prior to the Christmas and New Year break where the Blues were edged our 2-1.

The 21-year-old also caught the eye in Europe, impressing once more as City recorded a 2-0 Champions League home win over St Polten in our penultimate group fixture before then putting in a tireless display in our group finale away to Barcelona.

Voting is now open but closes on 23:59 (UK) on Sunday 12 January.

Grace Clinton of Manchester United, Spurs' Bethany England, Alessia Russo of Arsenal, Chelsea's Sjoeke Nusken and Dominique Janssen of Manchester United are the other contenders.
