Aston Villa are one of four clubs interested in doing a potential last minute deal for Joao Felix according to Fabrizio Romano.

The January transfer window is now into the final week, with the Blues expected to be busy, and this is usually the point where things start to pick up.

Chelsea have been quieter than expected with Renato Veiga the only outgoing of note after he joined Juventus on loan, whilst the Blues have agreed a deal with Strasbourg for Mamadou Sarr, with the 19-year-old set to arrive in the summer.

Four clubs interested in potential late deal for Felix

Chelsea are looking to move a number of players on before the window shuts, and the club are looking for solutions for Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka and Axel Disasi to name a few.

It’s no secret Chelsea are looking to add an attacker if they can, but in order to do that it’s likely one of Christopher Nkunku or Felix will have to leave.

Nkunku was seen as more likely earlier in the window, but that may not be the case now, after it was reported earlier this month the Blues were open to offers for Felix.

Romano has provided an update on the situation and stated there’s four club’s interested in doing a potential deal for the 25-year-old.

He took to X.com and said:

“Aston Villa, one of four clubs reaching out to João Félix’s agent Jorge Mendes to discuss potential last minute deal.

“It all depends on Chelsea as the formula of the deal is not easy to set for final days. Unai Emery remains clear; if there’s a chance, he wants João.”

Felix has struggled for regular time under Enzo Maresca and has started just three games in the league, although Maresca had said he’s the type of player fans pay money to watch.

The Portuguese has scored seven goals this season, but the problem he’s got is Cole Palmer is always going to play if he’s fit, but a departure after just six months would come as a shock.
