WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from the Blues this evening.
Bradford left her position at Rangers last month after spending almost 18 months in her role north of the border. She has now secured a return to the English second tier with Birmingham City. Bradford will assist head coach Amy Merricks who has guided Birmingham City to the top of the Barclays Women’s Championship table after 10 rounds of matches.
Bradford is no stranger to Barclays Women’s Championship football. She was manager of Coventry United during their time in the second tier, helping the club to avoid relegation against all odds on the final day of the 2021/2022 season.
After being appointed Birmingham City’s assistant head coach, Bradford said “I am thrilled to be here. Blues is a great club with a lot of history, and I am really looking forward to adding to that history and hopefully bringing a lot of success to the Club.”
Birmingham City return to action following the Christmas break when they travel to Portsmouth for a Barclays Women’s Championship fixture on Sunday 19 January 2025.
