Fan footage appears to show the start of the Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah argument that made headlines in the wake of West Ham 2-2 Liverpool.

Liverpool drew 2-2 at West Ham United on Saturday but the headlines afterwards were focused on Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp. The pair of Reds legends got into a bizarre spat on the sidelines as the Egyptian was subbed on.

Footage on TNT Sports showed Klopp approach Salah in the wake of West Ham's equaliser. He says something to the forward, who starts shouting back - and doesn't stop until Darwin Nunez pulls him away.

Klopp attempted to defuse the situation afterwards, telling TNT that "we spoke already in the dressing room and for me, it's done."

Salah took an entirely different approach. He had just eight words for the press as he passed through the mixed zone afterwards:

Footage from the stands appears to show the very start of the argument. Klopp is seen going to Salah with his hand out as the Egyptian walks towards the touchline - but is initially ignored.

Salah offers a brief hand to his manager, who is clearly unhappy with the situation and the pair share words. Klopp then embraced both Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez, who were also entering the fray.

The initial footage suggested Klopp instigated a little but it's clearly Salah who shows the initial problem here. Of course, whatever the problem is certainly started before all of this.

The easiest explanation is that Salah didn't want to start on the bench. It's something he essentially never does, with the public perception here being that he was dropped for the game.

Whatever the reason, the reaction here isn't right. Liverpool have never behaved like this in public across the Jurgen Klopp reign and seeing it end this way is just sad, really.
