Folarin Balogun (23) has returned to first-team training having suffered a dislocated shoulder earlier this month. An absence of two months had been touted for the AS Monaco forward.
Balogun suffered the injury against Stade Rennais in the final game before the international break. He subsequently pulled out of the USMNT squad and before the return of Ligue 1 football, it was announced that he was expected to miss around two months of action, which put his participation in the UEFA Champions League encounter against his former club, Arsenal, in doubt.
However, there was a boost on Friday. In a training session, attended by Get French Football News in La Turbie, Balogun participated with the first-team, at least at the start of the session. Does that mean that the former Stade de Reims man is ahead of schedule in his return from injury? Adi Hütter will give more details on the fitness of his forward later in the day.
