Florent Ghisolfi irate with missed penalty on Tommaso Baldanzi: “It was a clear.”

Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi expressed his frustration in his post-match interview with Sky Sport after Monza-Roma.

The French executive criticized the referee’s decision to not call a penalty in Roma’s favor in the final minutes of the game.

“I don’t usually come and talk about refereeing but what happened today is unacceptable, I think everyone saw that it was a clear penalty,” Ghisolfi remarked.

“The referee was at a certain distance but why didn’t VAR intervene? I demand respect for everyone, the players, the coach and our fans, there is a lot of frustration in the locker room for what happened.”

He continued, “Baldanzi is furious with this decision, we demand respect. We haven’t spoken to the referee yet, but as soon as possible we will ask why he made such a decision that we don’t understand.”
