Every participating team has now played at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and there have been plenty of headlines so far.
Lionel Messi has created some magic with another sublime free-kick to help his side beat Porto, while Brazilian champions Botafogo caused a shock upset against Champions League winners PSG.
Legendary defender Sergio Ramos was back to business as his goal for CF Monterrey held Inter Milan to a surprising 1-1 draw, but Bayern Munich’s dominant display in a 10-0 win against semi-professional Australian outfit Auckland City was rather unsurprising.
Chelsea and Manchester City have also got off to winning starts, beating LAFC and Wydad AC respectively.
There are plenty of players hoping to make a name for themselves and we’ve picked out five youngsters who may have caught the eye of other clubs…
Jesus has scored two goals in two games, including the decisive match-winner to beat PSG on Thursday evening.
The 24-year-old is reportedly close to signing for Nottingham Forest, and has also had a spell over in the United Arab Emirates before returning to Brazil.
He has caught the eye with his strength, clinical finishing and ability to contribute to build-up play. He could be making an impact in the Premier League very soon.
Clubs will have been alert to the 19-year-old’s abilities after his exceptional finish in the Champions League final, but Mayulu has been performing to an excellent standard throughout the season.
The French midfielder made 31 appearances for PSG, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
With Joao Neves, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz and Warren Zaire-Emery all competing alongside Mayulu to play in a central midfield role, clubs may look to see if they can prise the talented youngster away from his boyhood club with the lure of more game time.
Brought in to Juventus as a January signing, Costa filled a crucial void while the club were facing an injury crisis in the backline.
The 21-year-old made only nine appearances in the Serie A, but impressed in the Old Lady’s opening match of the Club World Cup, assisting twice in a 5-0 win against Al Ain.
Costa will be competing for the starting right-back slot in Igor Tudor’s side for next season, but if he continues to impress out in the US, a tempting offer could come in from other clubs.
The Spain international has two goals to his name after scoring a brace against Seattle Sounders.
As a graduate of Atleti’s academy, Barrios has worked his way into the first team, making 37 appearances in all competitions this season.
The 22-year-old has attracted the eyes of many clubs before the tournament started, but with displays like that against Seattle on Thursday evening, there may be more suitors lining up for the midfielder.
The 21-year-old was very close to joining Chelsea last summer, but the £35m move ultimately fell through, leading to him signing for Porto.
The Spanish forward instantly hit the ground running at his new club, firing in 25 goals in all competitions, earning him a place in the national team setup.
Samu has one goal at the Club World Cup so far, scoring from the spot in their 2-1 loss to Inter Miami.
While Porto will want to hold onto him for another season, more impressive performances will undoubtedly attract clubs in need of a centre-forward.
