FC Bayern is facing a (major) personnel shake-up this summer. The Munich club wants to comprehensively rebuild its squad. According to the latest reports, they have already lined up their first concrete new signing.

While the search for a new head coach is progressing very slowly, Bayern appear to be making much better progress with their squad reorganisation.

As Mundo Deportivo reports, FC Bayern has received „a clear transfer commitment“ from Milan star Theo Hernández. The Frenchman has been linked with a move to the German record champions for some time and is seen as a replacement for Alphonso Davies on the left side of defence.

According to the newspaper, the 26-year-old has received several attractive offers from top clubs, but the younger brother of ex-Bayern professional Lucas Hernández wants to continue his career in Munich in the new season.

Will Milan let Hernández leave in the summer?

Despite Hernández’s alleged commitment, a move to FC Bayern is still up in the air. Firstly, Munich must first clarify the sporting future of Alphonso Davies. If Hernández does indeed move to the Isar in the summer, a sale of the Canadian will move ever closer. Davies is still refusing to sign a new contract with FCB.

Another sticking point is AC Milan. Hernández is still tied to the Rossoneri until 2026 and does not have an exit clause. Club boss Giorgio Furlani recently emphasised that the club „will not sell any important players in the summer“ when asked about Hernández. According to rumours, Milan would only be willing to discuss a transfer fee in the region of €70-80 million. Hernández’s current market value is estimated at 60 million euros. It remains to be seen whether Milan will ultimately give the green light for a transfer.
