Our Red Bulls are to start their only week of friendly matches this summer right next to the picturesque Lake Zell, before they get into UEFA Champions League qualifying business next week. On Tuesday 15 July, Thomas Letsch's charges are facing FK Qarabag, with kick-off at 18:00 CEST. Tickets are available exclusively at the Alois Latini stadium's ticket points.
The Azerbaijan champions face a similar schedule to our boys. Qurban Qurbanov's side are also in Champions League action next week as they face the winners of the all-Irish clash between Shelbourne and Linfield. They have faced their first two friendly tests already with one defeat and one win in a pair of friendly matches against FC Twente.
They may not quite be like the Catalan giants, but FK Qarabag have earned that comparison in their home country thanks to the dominance of their domestic game and attractive playing style under former international striker Qurbanov – who has been in charge since 2008! He was on the sidelines back when a brace from Martin Hinteregger saw us through a tight UEFA Champions League qualifying tie in August 2014.
You can see there in person whether we can race past Atlilar (the Riders), or follow it all on a free RBS TV live stream.
