In his first interview with his new club’s channels, 22-year-old Australian left-back Jordan Bos revealed that his family have been Feyenoord fans for generations.
“As a child, I didn’t experience much of the country outside of my summer holidays in the Netherlands, but I’ve had that shirt on my shoulders for countless days,” Bos explained. “It’s my family’s club, because my father is Dutch. His whole family has been Feyenoord supporters for generations. I’ve received many messages from people hoping it would happen. Now it’s finally happening.”
For Bos, his introduction to De Kuip was magical. “I’ve heard so many stories about how amazing it is here, of course. But seeing it with my own eyes for the first time was astonishing. I was truly speechless. It’s such a beautiful stadium.”
At Feyenoord, Bos will be competing with Gijs Smal for the left-back position. “I’d say I’m more attacking for a wing-back. Getting forward is one of my strengths. Of course, I can also defend. But it’s mainly my attacking drive and my physical attributes. I’m strong and fit.”
