Al-Nassr centre-forward Jhon Duran (21) is set to return to Europe only six months after leaving Aston Villa FC for the Saudi Pro League. Foot Mercato reports that the Colombia international will spend the 2025-2026 season on loan at Fenerbahçe, under the tutelage of legendary manager José Mourinho. The outlet adds that Cristiano Ronaldo’s new lucrative deal with Al-Nassr has forced the Riyadh-based outfit to lower their wage bill.

Duran is therefore set to depart, despite a commendable start to life with Al-Nassr. The former Aston Villa sensation has logged 12 goals in 18 games. Duran is reportedly enticed by the prospect of returning to European football. Al-Nassr has agreed to loan the centre-forward to Fenerbahçe.

The Süper Lig giants’ Sporting Director Devin Özek is reportedly in Colombia to discuss the terms of a contract with Duran. Foot Mercato understands that Fenebahçe will offer Duran close to €10m for the upcoming season, which is a higher salary than the one he was earning in Saudi Arabia.
