FC Köln aim to sign a duo of Borussia Dortmund players in the upcoming transfer window, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.
The 2. Bundesliga side can finally look to make transfers this winter after their transfer ban is lifted.
Two players the club already have their eyes on is Julian Hettwer (21) and Franz Roggow (22).
Both are playing for BVB II in the 3. Liga this season and are having standout campaigns.
Hettwer, who mainly plays as a winger, has scored 9 goals and assisted 5 times in just 14 games this season.
Roggow has been a mainstay in the heart of the BVB II midfield so far this campaign and has also played every game scoring twice and assisting once.
Despite their young age, it’s clear that both players are capable of making the step up into the second division.
What’s more, Hettwer and Roggow’s contract both expire in the summer of 2025.
FC Köln can begin discussions with both players without the consent of BVB from January. If both are interested in a move, BVB may have to cash in this winter instead of letting the players go for free in the summer.
