As reported by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant, Paolo Galardi, former goalkeeper coach and Farioli’s personal friend, spoke openly about the future of the Tuscan coach: “He certainly won’t go to Roma. In Italy it is unthinkable that a thirty-six-year-old can lead the most important team in the country.”A clear opinion that seems to rule out a return to Serie A, at least in the short term.

Galardi then praised the work of Farioli and his staff at Ajax: “They are performing a miracle, taking a normal team and making it excel.”Despite the friendship with Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi, who could have included Farioli in the list of candidates to be submitted to the club, the Roma option appears not very concrete today.
