An awful piece of news surrounding a family member of Real Madrid star Endrick has late this week come to the fore online.

This comes amid confirmation that the brother of the partner of the young striker’s older sister, Lavinia Sudre, was the victim of a targeted gun attack on Christmas Day.

As per a report from Goal, citing The Sun, Mauricio Nunes Goncalves, being referred to in Brazil as Endrick’s ‘brother-in-law’, ‘was shot repeatedly at a street bar in Samambaia near the capital Brasilia’.

It is added that ‘witnesses reportedly told police there was no prior argument between the gunman and his victim and described it as a ‘cold-blooded execution’.

Nunes Goncalves’ funeral was scheduled for Boxing Day in Brazil.

Endrick, for his part, is yet to pass public comment on the matter, with the 18-year-old expected back in Madrid for pre-season training over the days ahead.
