Italy international Nicolò Fagioli said goodbye to Juventus after ’11 years of pure passion and pure love,’ citing Cristiano Ronaldo, Max Allegri, Gigi Buffon and more.
The midfielder was born and raised in the Juve youth academy, making his way up to the senior squad and earning his first Italy caps.
He was sent to Fiorentina on transfer deadline day, on loan for a reported €2.5m with an option to buy at the end of the season worth €13.5m plus €3m in bonuses.
Fagioli wrote a long message on his Instagram, including video of the many selfies he took over the years with great stars.

“The moment has come to say goodbye. It is always difficult to leave a place where you always felt at home, where you found teammates and people who became friends during this long period.
“They were 11 fantastic years. They were 11 years of pure passion and pure love. They flew by!
“I have been fortunate enough to train and play with people who wrote the history of football and history of this club, like Cristiano Ronaldo, Buffon, Chiellini, Dybala, Bonucci, Di Maria, Marchisio, Barzagli, Danilo, Alex Sandro, Juan, Tek and I apologise if I am missing anyone out.
“All my teammates I leave with wonderful memories and true friendships… I will miss you!
“I want to thank all the coaches who worked with me since I was a kid up to now. In particular Mister Pirlo who gave me my debut and Mister Allegri, who gave me the opportunity to really consecrate my status with this shirt.
“I want to thank the club and all the directors who worked over these years at Juve.
“An immense thank you also to all those who work behind the scenes like kit staff, doctors, physiotherapists, media, team managers, fitness coaches, to whom I am and will always be fond of.
“And finally I wish to thank all the Juventus fans from the heart. You always supported me even when, as you know, I did not go through good moments. I am eternally grateful to them.
“And as the President ANDREA AGNELLI always said… TO THE END.”
The difficult moments Fagioli referred to were his gambling addiction, which prompted him to hand himself in to the authorities and receive a seven-month ban from football.
The 23-year-old had also been approached by Olympique Marseille on transfer deadline day before opting for Fiorentina.
