Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has just called another ‘here we go’ done deal for this summer transfer window with documents sealed.
The news comes after Chelsea beat ES Tunis 3-0 over night in the Club World Cup in America after Blues head coach Enzo Maresca named a rotated starting Xl to rest a few players.
Chelsea needed to avoid a defeat to progress to the knockout rounds of the competition, and they did that with ease in the end against an opposition that they were just much better than in terms of quality.
Marc Cucurella got a deserved rest in the game, with Josh Acheampong starting at left back instead, but before the game, the Spanish international was expecting another tough game. But it was far from that for Chelsea in the end.
In terms of arrivals, Chelsea are yet to really get started and in fact, in terms of outgoings as well Chelsea are yet to really get started.
Fans will be getting restless with how slow things have been so far, knowing the urgent need they have to improve this squad in order to elevate themselves after a strong end to the season.
One outgoing that Chelsea have sorted out is goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga who is going to be off to Arsenal this summer.
Fabrizio Romano reports via his X account today:
‘Kepa to Arsenal, here we go! Deal done for the Spanish goalkeeper to join #AFC as new backup for David Raya.
‘Arsenal activate £5m clause from Chelsea and all documents are now sealed.
‘One more addition for Arteta after Martin Zubimendi.’
Decent backup signing for them really but I’m not sure why he would be happy being a backup choice.
