Manchester United have set an asking price of around €65m for misfiring young striker Rasmus Hojlund as clubs show an interest in him ahead of the summer.

Sources with a close understanding of the situation have informed CaughtOffside that the Red Devils are open to letting Hojlund go if interested clubs pay up for him.

The Denmark international has flopped during his time at Man Utd, but the club are still keen to bring in close to what they paid Atalanta for him.

It could be that Hojlund will get the chance to return to Serie A, with sources telling CaughtOffside that Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli are all considering moving for him.

Even if things haven’t worked out for the 22-year-old during his time at Old Trafford, he was very highly rated during his time in Italy, so it perhaps makes sense that big clubs there are still prepared to give him a chance.

Can Manchester Unites shift Rasmus Hojlund this summer?

United would do well to get someone like Hojlund off their books as their poor finances mean player sales look likely before they can make new signings.

MUFC will surely need to make changes up front, so cashing in on Hojlund makes sense to give them more money to work with.

Ruben Amorim surely won’t miss Hojlund if he leaves, as the former Atalanta man simply doesn’t look good enough to be playing for one of the Premier League’s most ambitious clubs.

CaughtOffside understands that no concrete talks or bids have come in for Hojlund yet, but Inter are strongly considering stepping up their interest.

Juve and Napoli will also be worth watching as they look for new strikers this summer, and United fans will no doubt hope this saga can be solved as soon as possible so the club can move on to more important deals.
