Inter Milan midfielder Piotr Zielinski failed to impress in Inter Milan’s Serie A draw with Bologna.

The player ratings for the Polish international were middling across Italian media, as TuttoMercatoWeb highlight. However, he did receive praise for setting up Inter’s second goal.

Zielinski got the start for Inter in yesterday evening’s Serie A clash with Bologna.

The Polish international started the second match in a row for the Nerazzurri. This was with Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the sidelines with injury.

It was for just such occasions that Inter decided to sign Zielinski last summer.

However, it was not anywhere close to Zielinski’s best performance.

Up against Bologna midfielders Nikola Moro and Remo Freuler, the 30-year-old former Napoli midfielder failed to really come up to the quick pace of the match early on.

Zielinski was responsible for allowing space for the Rossoblu midfielders to operate in.

And while there were one or two flashes of the Pole’s quality on the ball, he wasn’t really able to influence the match in Inter’s 3-5-2 system the way Nicolo Barella was.

There was, however, one very notable exception to this. It was a long ball over the top from Zielinski which set up Inter’s second goal of the match.

The 30-year-old played it to Federico Dimarco, who then played it to Lautaro Martinez to score.
