Midfielder Nicolo Fagioli will start in Monday evening’s Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Fiorentina.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They also anticipate Andrea Colpani and Michael Folorunsho will come into the Viola lineup.
Because Thursday’s Serie A clash between Fiorentina and Inter was technically a continuation of a match that had kicked off in December, the two teams could not field players they registered in January.
For Inter, that meant that for Nicola Zalewski was unavailable.
But for Fiorentina, there were far more January signings on the sidelines. All of Nicolo Fagioli, Michael Folorunsho, Nicolo Zaniolo, Cher Ndour, and Pablo Mari were all unavailable.
That did not stop La Viola from producing an heroic display to rout Inter 3-0. Even with an injury crisis forcing some players to play out of position.
But all the same, Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino will be happy to have more players to choose from in the second meeting with Inter.
Despite having five more players available in comparison to Thursday, Palladino isn’t planning wholesale changes.
Fiorentina’s team and approach worked perfectly already. So the Viola coach will keep a lot of players in the lineup.

However, there are a couple notable names to come in, reports the Corriere.
Only one player will make his Fiorentina debut after completing his move from Juventus at the end of the January transfer window.
Then, Michael Folorunsho and Andrea Colpani will start on the flanks, reports the Corriere.
