Totally off topic, but does anyone know if our games in the US will be televised at all?
Anjishnu, it's all well and good bringing many new players in, but they have to assimilate to the system, their new team mates etc. Not a quick process, as history has proved many a time !
Equally so, buying and/or playing 11 superstars rarely works, as there is an absence of workhorses !

Good spot Matt, and no men's Premier League games that weekend as it is part of the International break. Will be interesting to see the attendance.

Derek (3), the US friendlies will be available on Sky Sports.

Do we know what parts of Goodison will be used?
I'd hate to see the Grand Old Lady looking deserted because fans are spread around everywhere.

Dave, I think I read they will open the Park End, the lower Gwladys and the lower Main Stand.
All the upper stands will be closed off.

Why are they playing an Everton's women's game at BMD?
Surely they should stick to keeping Goodison Park open for the women's team, and not hand pick games that they think may bring in a bigger attendance, that's not really backing the women's game is it?
I'm just a bit confused. Me personally, I would have developed Goodison as a training facility for Everton and told the council to keep Finch Farm, and played all the women's games at BMD.

It must be exciting following the Everton women's team as they have actually signed players!
Good luck and I hope you have a great season.

Hugely anticipated game?
Think that's open to debate. Should this really be news worthy? My answer to that is no.
I don't know one Evertonian — and I know quite a few — who's ever even mentioned the women's team. In fact, I doubt if anyone could even name me one single player.
Give it a rest — this site is about Everton and the men — and I really don't care if this comes across as sexist because women's football doesn't matter.
Paul, the footprint of Finch Farm is multiples of that of Goodison Park.
Also I suspect that people who are struggling to get a ticket for the men's games may be tempted to attend on 12 October if they're yet to experience the new stadium.
If Goodison was used as a training facility we would possibly have the smallest training ground in the football league. Goodison is tiny.
As for using BMD for the women's match, I did read somewhere that they have a rule whereby all the women's teams must play one match a season at the men's ground. Seems a bit silly for us though as they have Goodison.
