Everton host Bournemouth in the FA Cup’s fourth round at Goodison Park today.
In the club’s final season at their famous ground, Everton are aiming to avoid this being the final FA Cup tie at the venue. David Moyes’s side are targeting a fourth consecutive win in all competitions after finding form under the Scot.
The 61-year-old has galvanised a struggling side and progress in cup competition is next on his agenda.
However, Bournemouth pose a difficult test. Despite defeat to Liverpool last time out, the Cherries remain one of the form sides in English football. Bournemouth won 3-2 at Everton in an astonishing Premier League game earlier in the season, having trailed 2-0 in the 87th minute.
Fresh from scoring a brace in the 4-0 win over Leicester, Beto will continue to lead the line for Everton. The absence of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti through injury leaves the 27-year-old as the only recognised forward in the squad.
Dwight McNeil will see a specialist to fix an ongoing knee issue, though Everton have been boosted by the arrival of Carlos Alcaraz on loan from Flamengo. James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam have also recently returned from injuries to add depth to the Toffees’ midfield.
Everton predicted XI: Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Harrison, Garner, Gueye, Doucoure, Ndiaye; Beto.
